Shani Kipang, Principal

Dr. Shani Kipang (she/her) founded CCB Strategies as a labour of love. As a consultant, practitioner and university instructor, Shani has spent over 20 years facilitating processes of collaborative learning. Whether working in boardrooms, classrooms or in the community, Shani's approach is the same - grounded in principles of critical evidence-based practice, dialogic learning and creative capacity building.
With a background in social work, Shani brings knowledge of non-profit and public sector systems built from the ground up- informed both by her work as a frontline clinical and community practitioner and 10+ years in program and project management. Since 2013 Shani has been an adjunct lecturer at TMU (formerly Ryerson University) in Non-profit Management and a Professor in Social and Community Services at Humber College. Through affiliations with various universities and institutions she has developed courses and training materials in the areas of Conflict Engagement; Cultural Humility; Decolonization, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion; and Neurodiversity & Intersectionality.

Shani holds a Bachelor of Social Work from McGill University and an MA in Adult Education and Community Development from OISE/UofT. She earned her PhD in Social Work from the University of Toronto, where her doctoral research explored new tools for experiential learning in professional education.
